Windsor Yards Shopping Centre is attempting to improve residents minds and bodies by launching a ‘Wellbeing Week’. Bosses are promising “a jam-packed few days of free activities, films and workshops for all ages”.

The event series will run from from Monday 12 until Sunday 18 August, between 11am and 4pm.

On Monday 12 August, shoppers can get their creative juices flowing by painting, cutting and sticking at a card-making workshop.

Tuesday 13 August will see people cycling for a smoothie on a blender bike.

For those who prefer comfort food, there will be cake and kindness sessions on Wednesday 14 August. All members of the community will be invited to enjoy free tea, cake and conversation.

On Thursday 15 August, there will be free 15-minute, beginners fitness workshops, with classes ranging from Zumba to yoga and Pilates. Organisers promise to get residents endorphins pumping!

Friday 16th August will see event-goers stimulate their minds with interactive activities to help adults and children learn a foreign language.

Into the weekend, favourite family films like Dumdo will be shown in a free, pop-up outdoor cinema on Saturday 17 August.

And what could be more relaxing than hanging out with a four-legged friend? On the final day –
Sunday 18 August – Battersea Dogs and Cats Home will run doggy de-stress and dog toy-making

Robert Gramson, centre manager at Windsor Yards, said: “We’re all too aware how stressful modern life is and it’s more important than ever for people of all ages to look after their mind and body. We hope that these free events will encourage the local community to get creative, try a new fitness class and spend quality time with friends and family.”

All workshops are on a first come, first-served basis. All activities are free, but a donation to
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is suggested.
